Rome's geography helped them in many ways but it also hurt them. Some advantages of the geography were that the Tiber River made the land around very fertile and trade, transportation, and crossing were made easier because of the Tiber River. Some disadvantages were that they were close to a river which meant they could've easily been attacked and conquered. The river flooding could've destroyed towns and buildings. Mountains were near isolating Rome from other tribes and cultures.
