Manor SystemThe land that the Lord or Knight owns is split up between serfs who will farm the land or use it for work. The serfs farm the land or work in the black smith houses or grain mills. In return the knight or Noble gives them land that they live on and farm. After farming the serfs give most of the crops to the owner of the land who give them protection.

FeudalismIn feudalism, the monarch of the area splits his/her land and gives a part to a trusted noble who takes an oath to promise loyalty to the monarch. The Noble then splits their land into smaller parts and gives pieces to knights. Then the knights give land to the serfs for farming. In return the serfs give crops to the knights who give protection to the nobles who in turn give protection fro the knights to the monarch.
